Effective schedule planning and control is an absolute requirement in order that the work can be successfully planned, controlled, monitored and completed on budget and on time.

The Geertsma Group of Companies will establish a master control design/construction schedule utilizing a scheduling program which generates a networked critical path bar chart. This schedule will identify design and construction activities with a duration time, a start date, and an end date. Tasks on the critical path will be linked together to provide progress control. Sub-trades and suppliers will be required to commit their performance to the schedule by confirming delivery dates and by setting milestone dates for key events which are in agreement with the schedule. The superintendent will track the actual schedule daily against the proposed schedule, and this will be reviewed in detail at site meetings. The regular site meetings, held every two weeks, with minutes recorded, are a valuable tool in the control of the Project.
